For our client we are searching for a Developer in Test

Must be residing in UK and have the right to work in UK.

About the role:

As a Developer in Test for one of the client development scrum teams, you will use your test technical skills, knowledge and experience, along with your soft skills, to work with your scrum team colleagues and stakeholders, to continually improve the client identity and access management products. You will be involved in the software development process end-to-end, which may include backlog refinement, sprint planning, analysis, design and testing, and any accompanying continuous improvement process.

The Developer in Test will deliver the implementation of the automated testing strategy along with performing manual exploratory testing tasks.

Responsibilities will include:

• Gain in-depth knowledge of the client products, the development process and the development and testing technical environment.
• Collaborate with scrum team colleagues (developers, testers, product owner)
• Create automated tests
• Conduct the exploratory manual tests required to deliver a successful product increment.
• Ensure that all changes meet the team’s agreed quality standards (Definition of Done).
• Actively contribute to team performance improvements.
• Actively contribute to identifying product improvements or product discovery.
• Continually develop your own skills and knowledge.

Key Skills

• Highly skilled at creating automated tests that are both high-quality, easily maintainable, and well documented.
• Fluency with writing automated tests in Java, using WebDriver, Cucumber and Page-Objects.
• Fluency with writing automated tests in Java to ensure REST-based APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements using REST Assured or similar library.
• Knowledge and experience of automated and manual exploratory testing of Web-based applications.

Experience:

• Experience in Agile testing, creating test plans and test strategies, working closely with key stakeholders and/or product owners.
• Working with micro-service architectures.
• Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud and AWS.
• Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery.
• Experience of writing automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript using frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

Qualifications:

• ISEB / ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level.
• Relevant IT qualification (degree or equivalent).

Salary

£40,000 per annum
