About the job

For our client we are searching for a Finance Business Partner.

Must be residing in UK and have the right to work in UK.

The role:

The Finance Business Partner will ensure that financial reports for internal and external users accurately reflect the financial position of the company.

Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers in the business and their teams.

Drive financial management and insight, including identifying possible areas for focus and improvement. Develop cost mitigation, income generation or risk management strategies.

Must have:

  • Advanced Excel skills working with large volumes of data, including v-look ups and pivots.
  • Able to explain financial reports to non-finance specialists
  • Strong customer service ethos
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of managing internal and external deadlines

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI
  • Experience in a commercial environment

Responsibilities:

  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Review of month end journals including accruals and prepayments
  • Producing monthly management reporting for the directorate/s
  • Variance analysis of the results. Identifying risks and opportunities and advising accordingly
  • Lead the annual budgeting and twice annual forecasting exercises for your business area
  • Challenging business assumptions as appropriate

Financial advice and control

  • Working collaboratively with the wider finance business partner team
  • Share business partnering ideas, learnings, experiences and best practice
  • Provide financial input into strategic, tactical and operational business cases.
  • Aid decision making processes in the business and plans within the directorates

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise
  • Demonstrable experience preparing forecast and budget information
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships across different levels of the organisation

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, ICAI)
